Human a creature of adaptation and intelligence climbed there way to the top of the evolutionary ladder. Thought to be the final evolutionary step of the planet earth. But Mother Nature had other plans. Just as a caterpillar turns into a butterfly the human race also metamorphic into the next genetic step. Is the human race going to die out as their new genetic child rises to the top of the ladder or are they merely another form of adaptation waiting for its time.
Logan had spared her life. The life of a woman he loved more then he thought possible a woman who loved another. But that didn’t matter as long as she was still in it. It didn’t matter he could never be with her, it just mattered that she still existed in it. Now everyone would have live with his actions just like when a stone drops into a puddle, the ripples affecting everything around the epicenter.
Now Jean lay unconscious in the infirmary under Hank McCoy’s watchful eyes for her to wake. The question everyone’s mind is who will be in charge when she does wake up. Jean Grey, beloved friend, teacher, and doctor. Or the Phoenix, a being capable of leveling a country with as little effort as one would show swatting an annoying insect.
Life at the mansion returned to as normal as it could. Rouge regained her powers after the cure failed her. Classes started and the fear of the Brotherhood faded. What surprised everyone though was when the Professor returned, and he was not alone beside him was a strange woman known as Lilandra Neramani. He helped seal away the Phoenix in Jean once more.
Scott the former leader of the X-Men was still alive. Would he return to the X-Men. No one really knew for Scott was lost in his own mind, unconscious in a bed of some Canadian hospital.
Something else seemed to becoming with Lilandra’s appearance on earth. She did not come alone, with her came other Shi’Ar people. Ones who saw the Phoenix as a threat, wanting to destroy her. They knew of the great power Jean Grey had, it could throw off the entire Universal counsel if an opposing threat were to get her on their side.
Magneto was not out for the count. His powers returned just as Rouges and all other mutants there were cured. He reclaimed his role as leader of the Brotherhood. As the humans worried about this alien threat, Magneto saw it as his chance to take over the world. He saw this as Humans downfall and Mutants rise.
Were Mutants created to stop threats with technology far advanced then humans? Was this why humans adapted to creatures of powers? Is the world going to see a bigger change then its own formation?
