Name:
Soultear
Age:
30 moons - 2 1/2 years
Gender:
She-cat
Clan:
Nightclan
Role:
Warrior
Personality:
Soultear is a very introverted cat. She is incredibly gentle, to the point that some cats wonder just how she can hunt. She is an easily overlooked cat, and she seems to slip from other cat's minds and mentions easily. Often enough, when she's on patrol or hunting in a group, things that she does well enough for praise get forgotten by the time she is back to camp, and the credit for it will sometimes even go to another cat. But she doesn't mind. She tries to avoid conflict within the Clan. But, there are a couple of strong points in her. One is her habit to study everything. Those eyes of hers almost never miss a beat, and she can analyze all points to a situation easily and efficiently. Another is her strong urge to protect her Clan. Even when they forget her, Soultear loves her Clan and will protect it with her life. While fighting, she was once compared to a queen protecting her kits in her ferocity and devotion. A big surprise from such a gentle and soft spoken cat.
Description:
Soultear, for a cat that is so easily overlooked, is very pretty. She is lean, despite how she looks. A lot of the "bulk" on her is fur. Speaking of which, her fur is a soft combination of white, light grays, medium grays, and gray-ish browns. Some have described her fur color as similar to fog around stone. Around all for legs, from the elbow or heel down, are thin rings of dusky grays and pale browns. Her front right paw is entirely a dusty brown color. Her entire tail, which is both long and long furred, is also the dust brown. Her tail darken to black at around half way, and the whole tail looks black in poorly lit areas.
Her head has a vaguely triangular shape to it. In the center on her forehead is a diamond shaped splotch of dusty brown fur. Dotting the lower corners of her triangle ears and her brows are spots of the same dusty brown color. Under both eyes are swipes of the same shape of brown, and her nose is a paler shade of brown, leaning more towards a chocolate color. Her gorgeous eyes are a wonderful shade of blue, the color of the sky just before a storm.

History:
Soultear has had a very unremarkable life. She was the only kit in her litter. Ghostwhisper, her mother was old for a queen, and Kinktail, her father, had retired to the life of an elder before she was born. Ghostwhisper, an incredibly gentle and insightful cat, died shortly after giving birth, the strain from the labor too much for her body to take. It was the Medicine Cat at that time that named her Soulkit. She was named for the way she looked just like her mother and the way her eyes seemed to reach into your soul.
Kinktail had died from green cough shortly before Soultear became an apprentice. Her new mentor, a scarred and gruff tom, wasn't pleased with being given a she-cat to train. Ruggedstone had only trained toms, and didn't know how to deal with a young she-cat. But Soultear wiggled her way under his stony shell, and won his praise over and over with her devotion and her memory. While his first impression of her was a "soft cat who would be better suited for the life of a kittypet", that did a one-eighty and turned into "a she-cat who is extremely devoted to the Code and the Clan, one that you'd what on you're side in any ordeal." It was obvious that Ruggedstone had much affection for the young cat. That in itself was a miracle, as he didn't like many cats.
During her final assessment, Soultear, Ruggedstone, and another apprentice and mentor pair ran into a LeafClan patrol. The patrol was aggressively marking out a new border in NightClan territory; stealing territory! Ruggedstone let out at ear splitting war cry and launched an attack against the enemy warriors. The other apprentice was sent to get help, while Soultear refused to leave her mentor, fighting next to him with aggressive attacks. By the time help arrived, the fight was over. Both mentors lay dead, and Soultear was just hanging on. On the way back into camp, rain began to fall. When the Leader saw the way that the rain ran down the apprentice's nose from her eye, he named her Soultear, giving her a warrior name. He didn't expect her to live, but when she did, it was a welcomed bit of good news. After the attack and Raggenstone's death, Soultear became very withdrawn, and still is.
